Roxanne M. Layne

Roxanne Layne, who was born in Georgetown, Guyana, brought warmth, wisdom, and grace into the lives of all who knew her. A dedicated scholar. Roxanne pursued higher education, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management from Baruch College and later completing her Master’s of Business Administration in Management from DeVry University. She combined her intellect with a love for helping others, and she became a mentor and guide, especially to the youth in her community.

Roxanne’s joy for life and vibrant spirit was reflected in her many passions. She loved reading, singing, dancing, and listening to her favorite music. Also, she enjoyed simple pleasures such as watching her favorite TV shows and movies. Roxanne also had a love for shopping, which brought her joy, whether finding a great deal or simply indulging in a favorite pastime.

A lover of food, Roxanne delighted in her Guyanese heritage and cuisine. She often savored jerk chicken, fruits, yogurt, and occasionally indulged in cookies, reflecting her balance of discipline and enjoyment in life.

Her deep faith in God was a central of her life. She dedicated much of her time to prayer, seeking peace and solace while also supporting the spiritual growth of others. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, the youth she mentored, and the family and friends who carry her memory in their hearts

Roxanne’s life was a testament to kindness, love, and faith. Her laughter, advice, and warmth will be missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the lives she impacted.
