Roselyne, 82, of Cambria Heights, passed away on March 18, 2026. Born on December 19, 1943, in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Anna Rose Victor and Duty Mackenzie.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Eric Balmir; her sons, Eric Manuel (“Ricky”) and Frantz (“Fanfan”); her granddaughter, Sydney; and her siblings Liliane, Jean-Claude, Micheline, Paul-Henry, Lionel, and Martine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Roselyne was educated in Haiti at L’École Normale Supérieure and later in the United States, graduating cum laude from The City University of New York and earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cornell University. She dedicated her career to nursing, serving as a critical care nurse and later as a nurse manager, and spent over two decades caring for patients at Franklin General Hospital before retiring due to illness.
A woman of deep faith and resilience, she was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and its choir. She was devoted to her family and played a vital role in supporting and uplifting her extended family and community.
