Rolande Dorvil Athimy (1963-2025) was smart, resilient, generous. A hardworking person and good listener that always put the need of others over her own. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She moved to the US in 2020 and was known for her peaceful nature, her friendliness, her door was open to everyone; she was a shoulder to lean on. Rolande was a faithful catholic member of church all of her life. From Saint Anthony Parrish (Haiti); Our mother of Perpetual Succour (Connecticut) and recently start to visit Saint Anne et Saint Joachim (Queens, NY). She was member of choir, multiple prayer groups, helped to organize marriage seminars. Additionally she was a teacher, seamstress and a caregiver. She was married for 39 years to her beloved husband Jean-Preciny Athimy. Together they have 3 children: Daphne, Pascale and Gaetan. She is also survived by a grandson Jade-Yves; a brother, 3 sisters, aunts ,cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rolande's personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered and her passing will be mourned by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed but her love will remain always and forever; forever and always.
