RELMINA DUDLEY is the first child in line of four siblings, born on May 22, 1935, in Bocas Del Toro, Panama to Victoria Downer and Bulgario Mitchel. She completed her studies in Panama City, Panama.
She was married to Deacon Roy A. Dudley for approximately 60 loving years. Relmina had four children who she loved unconditionally: Rogelio, Virgilio, Carlos and Guillermo. She had a total of 19+ grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relmina migrated to the United States in 1963 where she worked tirelessly to unite her family in the United States on August 11, 1966.
Relmina Dudley and family moved to Cambria Heights, Queens, NY in 1970 and became members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She worked as an assistant teacher at Enrico Fermi Junior High School 111 for numerous years. Her career abruptly ended after a serious motor vehicle accident.
Relmina enjoyed dancing, watching sports and was an excellent seamstress. Her favorite sports teams were the New York Mets and the New York Islanders. She knew nothing about hockey, but she had a favorite team nonetheless. Relmina would not allow her husband nor any other family member to watch the New York Yankees, as that was strictly forbidden in her household.
Relmina Dudley passed away on November 9, 2023, at approximately 2:20am EST. She departed from us only thinking of her family and the belief that she would be reunited with her beloved husband, Deacon Roy Dudley, and other family members who have preceded her in death.
Although no longer physically here with us, Relmina will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, Godmother and friend. She will also be remembered for her generosity and many other good qualities. She will forever be spiritually present in the hearts of her loved ones
