In Loving Memory of Regina Mary Welch

Regina, known as Gina to most, sadly passed away on October 7, 2023. She was a loving daughter to the late Regina Welch, a cherished sister to Thomas and his wife Kathleen, and a devoted aunt to Thomas, James (Maura), Michael (Terra), Janet (Dave Bridges), and Daniel. She was also a beloved great aunt to Krystal, Michael, Brett, Bobby, Jimmy, and Emma, and a cherished great-great aunt to Connor and Everleigh. Additionally, she was a loving Godmother to James Paul Welch, James Richard Welch, Margie Bolton and Jennifer Biava. Gina was the Goddaughter of Margaret Adams.  In addition to her immediate family, Gina is survived by many cherished cousins, aunts, an uncle, and friends to those who held a special place in her heart.

Gina retired after more than 30 years of supporting the men and women of the NYPD. She loved her work which took her to the 105th, Emergency Services and ended her career supporting the commissioners office at 1 Police Plaza. 

Gina was an avid cross-stitcher and a passionate Mets fan, Gina was fortunate enough to be able to attend many Mets games with her cousins throughout the years. She traveled the Country and included some baseball stops along the way. She cherished the energy of Broadway shows almost as much as she loved watching her cousin April perform. If you've ever had dinner plans with Gina you would surely know her favorite restaurant was Cara Mia where they became like family to her.

Her loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
