Pearline Bell, 91 of Queens Village, New York was called home to her Heavenly Father on May 12, 2021. She died while resting in her residence.
Pearline was born in Jamaica, West Indies on October 9, 1929 to Frederica Lyons and Ferdinand Nelson. She was an only child. While she missed having siblings, she often spoke of growing up with cousins that filled the sibling gap.
Pearline married Ayrton Wesley Bell in Jamaica, West Indies. Together, they raised three children, Errol, Donnett and Charyl. Pearline worked in Jamaica for many years as a conductress before migrating to the United States. While in New York, she graduated from The Washington Business Institute in 1967. After completion of the Business Institute, Pearline had a career in banking until her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Errol Bell (Jennifer Bell, daughter-in-law); daughter, Donnett Bell; daughter, Charyl Bell-Gordon (Hopeton Gordon, son-in-law); grandchildren, Trevor Bell, Jorel Bell, Erika Bell, Tori Gordon and Ayrianna Gordon; and great grandchildren Darryl Bell and Darian Bell. Also, she is survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and very close, lifelong friends.
Pearline is preceded in death by her husband, Ayrton Bell; mother, Frederica Lyons Miller and her stepfather, Joseph Miller.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Cambria Heights, NY followed by an interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, New York.
