As per Marjorie’s wishes she requested to have the attendees incorporate white in their attire for the whole day.
Born in Anse-à-Veau , Haiti on April 28, 1965 to Sauveur Guerre and Wilhelmine Guerre née Julsaint. Marjorie was the youngest of two children. At the tender age of seven, Marjorie and her mother emigrated to the U.S. and resided with her big sister in Brooklyn, New York. After winning awards in elementary school, she attended Fashion Industries High School where she developed her love and passion for fashion.
Marjorie and her family later moved to Westbury Long Island where she completed her High School Education at Westbury High School. Throughout her life she touched many people and developed lifelong friends. She worked in Fashion Retail while she attended college at CW Post where she studied Marketing. Her love for fashion was always part of everyday life. She was our fashionista!
Marjorie always knew that she wanted to be a wife and a mother, and in 1995 she married Patrick English. They welcomed their first child Briana English in 1996, and in 2001 they completed their family with the birth of their second daughter Gabrielle English.
Later in her life, she decided to enter the healthcare field and earned her RN. Marjorie worked tirelessly taking care of others. While she pursued her nursing career, she developed many more lifelong friendships.
On Monday October 9, 2023, Marjorie passed away peacefully at home in her sleep and surrounded by her loved ones. Marjorie bravely fought a 16-year battle with cancer, and now rests with our Lord. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Patrick English, her daughters Briana and Gabrielle English, her sister Marie Bernier, her nieces Patricia Jean and Melissa Bernier, cousins, in-laws, and a host of friends. She will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed.
