Marisa Tuo, 19, of Elmont, NY entered into God’s Kingdom on July 7th, 2023. She was born on July 9th, 2003 to loving parents, Marsha and Roger Tuo. She was the younger sister and close confidante of her brother Marc-Antony Tuo.

Marisa was immediately a shining light that brought joy and happiness into the world. With an effervescent personality and strength of character, she strived for excellence in everything she pursued. More importantly, she was a quintessential example of what it meant to be inviting, selfless, and non-judgmental. Everyone was viewed as a friend and treated with love and grace.

Marisa graduated from Gotham Avenue Elementary School in 2015 where she participated in Gotham's School Safety Patrol, Math Olympiad and Dad's Club. She then graduated from Elmont Memorial High School in 2021 where she was a member of the National Science Honor Society, Key Club, and the Leading Ladies.

After being accepted and briefly attending Howard University in Washington D.C., Marisa transferred to St. John's University in Queens in order to be closer to her family. There, she was a Pre Med major pursuing her dream of being a doctor. She also registered in the Study Abroad program and was excited to attend her Fall 2023 semester in France.

Marisa loved spending time with family and friends. She loved music, dancing and fashion and was always sharing new music, trends and fashion ideas with everyone.

Marisa is survived by her father Roger; mother Marsha; brother Marc-Anthony; grandmothers Andrea and Karidja; great grandmother Etheline; grandfather Michael. A host of devoted Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
