Marc Jean Robert Dupiton

Marc Jean-Robert Dupiton passed away on June 5th, 2024 at the age of 79, in the presence of loved ones.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Marc was born to Dantes and Helen Dupiton on April 29, 1945 in Saint-Marc, Haiti. He was the youngest of the 13 siblings and the last of the siblings to perish.  He came to the United States in 1970 and made a life for himself in New York City.  In 1972, he met and married the love of his life, Marie Jocelyne, and the pair spent the next 52 years together.

Marc is survived by his loving wife, Marie J. Dupiton, two children: Dr. Alain Dupiton and Svelda Dupiton, and six grandchildren: Jovan, Angelique, Joshua, Zipporah, Delilah, and Leah.

As the youngest and last surviving patriarch of the Dupiton family, Marc left an enduring mark on those he left behind. He was the epitome of generosity.  He possessed a big spirit and big heart.  There were no boundaries as to how he expressed his love, affection and support to his family and friends. 

Marc had a quiet demeanor but was also known as the life of the party.  His presence was uplifting like a breath of fresh air.  He enjoyed all types of dances and listened to music of all genres.  He had his own distinct style and felt immense pleasure in dressing in the finest attire.

He was an exceptional man who will be deeply missed.  His loved ones will continue to celebrate the beautiful life that he lived and the precious memories that he created.  Marc Dupiton’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all of those that he left behind.  May his soul rest in peace.
