Marc A. Kesnel Leveille

Our beloved, Marc Arthur “Kesnel”  Leveille of Cambria Heights, NY passed away on December 8, 2024 after a long battle with chemotherapy induced heart failure, surrounded by loved ones.  Kesnel was born in Chantal, Les Cayes, Haiti on November 16, 1934 to Sephora Richard and Massillon Leveille.  He was one of nine children including six brothers: Flavil, Lanoze, Lenage, Odvain, Arnold and Andre and two sisters: Nephthalie and Germaine (Lolotte). 

Kesnel married Ghislaine Myrthil, and together they had three children: Marie “Fofo” Baudin, McArthur Leveille and Didier Leveille.   Kesnel  loved and supported his family and friends to the fullest.  Kesnel worked as a lawyer, a director at Lycee Toussaint, a taxi driver and a Respiratory Therapist.   He enjoyed participating in physical fitness, soccer, doing crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and Word Search puzzles.   He loved watching Everybody Loves Raymonde, The Price is Right, Jeopardy, and Family Feud. He enjoyed going to church with his family weekly until he became too ill to go.

Friends and family will always remember his good-natured personality, the love he had for his wife and children, his love of dancing and his love of exercising.   Kesnel is survived by his wife, Ghislaine, his children: Marie, McArthur, and Didier, his grandchildren: Mia, Téa, Lauren, Cassidy and Sariah and his older sister, Germaine (Lolotte), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
