Leonide Santagne

Leonide Santagne affectionately know as “Tante You” was born on August 15, 1940 in Grand-Bassin Haiti.  She was the 3rd of 5 siblings from parents Joseph Santagne (died 1998) and Eralie Elie (died 1974).  She worked as a merchant and her hobbies included sewing and gardening. She has  one daughter Lusnie Pluviose who made her a grandma four times to Marcelin (wife Derline Toussaint-Pluviose), Alland Duphrene (wife Esther Etienne-Duphrene), Alain Duphrene and Peterson Pluviose.  3 out of her 4 grandsons blessed her with 5 great grandchildren.  Miss Santagne emigrated to the United States in 2001 to reunite with her older sister Anna Joachim and they were inseparable.  She is predeceased by her sister Precilia Joachim and brother Otancius Santagne.  Now she leaves behind not only her beloved older sister Anna Joachim, but younger sister Marie Elizabeth Santagne.  She was looking forward to someday spending more time with her 5 great-grandchildren Shaina Pluviose, Marventz Pluviose, Allando Duphrene, Cristalyn Duphrene, and Faily Duphrene.  She will be missed by her countless nieces and nephews Jacqueline Joachim, Marie-Mona Andrieux Desravines (Marvin Desravines), Meutz Guillaume (Maudeline Saint Guillaume), Yasmide Brenor Albert (Jercon Brenor), Kelta Jean, Ronel Santana ( Notreda Joseph), Judson Lazare, Mathieu Lazare, Mathieu Santana, Julien Lazare, jaccin Lazare, Juslin Lazare, Marcson Lazare, Ritrose Lazare, Martine Dorval. Great nieces and nephews Hendel Joachim Muralain Joseph, Fabiola Accilien Ibréus (Andre Ibréus), Sherly Norde (Odner Germeille). Cynthia Desravines-Eilbacher (William), Carls-Marvin Desravines, Sheila Guillaume-Michel ( Michel), Nick Guillaume, Nerlande Guillaume, Dernsta Guillaume, Andialie Guillaume, Freed-Lee Jean, Hertz Galhy Pierre, Kelvins Pierre Germide Brenor, Midson Brenor. Great great Nieces and nephews Serenity Desravines Carls Marvin Desravines Jr., Caeleigh Briana Eilbacher, Tyler William Eilbacher, Rodney Santana, Sireanna Sarah Santana, Rodeline Santana. Cousin Marie Charlotte Elie, Francklin Elie, Marie Amelie Pierre. Hantz-Carly Pierre, Landy Carnegie Ibréus, Andly Fabio Ibréus, Faby Andla Ibréus, Anna Germeile, Yvy-Gianna Germeille, Braverly Michel, Guesly Elie (Maguy). She will be missed by her good friend Celita Dure and Pierrot Dure.
