Ti Kat, Kakle, Manman Kakle, as she was called by her family, was a fun-loving woman who could make a friend with just one conversation. Kathleen loved people and loved her family even more.
Kathleen was born in Haiti on December 20, 1957, to parents Earta and Nerva Auguste. Kathleen immigrated to the United States in 1972 and attended Erasmus Hall High School.
With a desire to help others, Kathleen pursued a nursing degree before switching to a career in finance. Kathleen worked at JP Morgan Chase for 19 years, eventually becoming the Senior Operations Coordinator.
After departing JP Morgan Chase, Kathleen decided to pursue higher education – she attended Nassau Community College, graduating with an Associate of Arts, and Adelphi University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science.
Kathleen enjoyed dancing, laughing, and telling a good story. She had a fierce love for her family; she would do anything to protect them and those she loved. Kathleen was a caregiver to her mother, a teacher to her grandson, a supporter to her children, and a confidant to her friends. Kathleen was a strong woman who loved life and lived for her family.
Kathleen is survived by her mother, Earta, her three sons, Vladimir, Kirk, and Kirby, and her grandson, Kyrie.
Kathleen is lovingly remembered by her mother, three children, two stepchildren, grandson, sister, brother, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the rest of her family and friends.
