On Saturday, April 10, 2021, the Leroy family lost their hero, Jerome Ones Leroy, after being hospitalized at Mercy Hospital with respiratory complications.
Jerome Ones was born in Haiti on March 26th, 1932. He grew up in a large family in Haiti. As a teenager after finishing high school, Jerome worked as an office machine technician. Later on, he had his own business and after the birth of his children migrated to the US.
Jerome Ones was a God-fearing man and devoted to his family. He had a great sense of humor with a child-like attitude. He was constantly teasing his sister (Duze) until the end. He enjoyed classical music, reading and walking. He found great joy spending time with his family. If you asked Jerome Ones what his greatest accomplishment in life was, he would say being a father.
Jerome Ones is survived by his wife Mereta Campbell-Leroy; his daughters Elmire Leroy, Marie Carme Michele Leroy, Natacha Rivage; his sons Omnes Leroy and Jimmy Jean Leroy; his grandchildren Abdel Acacia, Isabel Leroy, Esther Gedeon and Avani Leroy; his sisters Duze Leroy, Marie-Danielle Leroy; his brother Hubert Leroy; and countless nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His tireless love and devotion to family and friends were evident - and all admired and loved him dearly.
