Irene Elizabeth Prepetit (née Fouche) peacefully departed from this world on December 1, 2023, at the age of 102 in Flushing, New York. Born on July 13, 1921, in Port de Paix, Haiti, Irene's life was a testament to the virtues of humility, gratitude, and a deep respect for all of creation. Her unwavering faith guided her every step.
Irene's journey on Earth was marked by her dedication as a seamstress in the vibrant city of New York. With skillful hands and a heart filled with love, she poured her talent into every stitch, creating garments that brought joy and beauty to those who wore them. Her craftsmanship was a reflection of her reverence for the gifts bestowed upon her.
In her role as a mother, Irene embraced her divine calling with grace and tenderness. She leaves behind a legacy of love, instilling in her children - Alix Prepetit, Marie Aurore Prepetit, Reynald Prepetit, Carole Prepetit, Marie Berthe Prepetit, Elsie P. Warner, Harry Warner, Jocelyne Prepetit, and Marvin Brandon -the values of compassion, resilience, and unwavering faith. Irene's spirit will continue to shine brightly through her cherished grandchildren - Henry and Katrina Thervil, Tamara and Donald Vale, Gabrielle Prepetit, Reynald Prepetit, Gregory Prepetit, Jennifer Dallemand, Harry and Richelle Warner, Micheal and Vanessa Warner, Christine and Shawn Sharpe, Nathaly Warner and Chris Cogswell, Irene Warner, Christopher Change, Kasindra Francis, Kristen Barbour, Brittney and Dwain Wright Jr and her numerous great-grandchildren Anadia, Maxwell, Kashmir, Dwain III, Christian , Jasmine, Jabilee, joshua, Ella, Laila, Jaxynn, Sophie, Mia, Madison , Matthew, Jalen , Pierre, Penelope, Matthew , Noëlle and Nyla and Rafael Conde.
In the embrace of eternity, Irene joins her beloved spouse, Bertrand Prepetit, her daughter, Irene Prepetit Change, Her grandson Bertrand Thervil and Olivier Prepetit and her sisters, Odette, Gabrielle, Marthe, Amélie, and Claudie. As she reunites with her loved ones who have gone before her, her soul finds solace in the presence of the Divine.
Throughout her life, Irene found solace and strength in her devotion to God. She sought comfort in the sacred halls of worship, finding solace in the rituals and prayers that connected her to the divine realm. Irene's faith provided her with a guiding light, illuminating her path and inspiring her to live a life of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for all.
As we bid farewell to Irene, let us celebrate the extraordinary life she lived. Her legacy of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation will forever be etched in our hearts.
