Heureuse Charlene

Heureuse Charlene passed on Wednesday October 7th, 2020 in her daughter’s home from a long battle with cancer. Heureuse, a fighter, courageous, fierce, innovative, straight forward, loving and God-Fearing woman has gone home. Heureuse Charlene was born on August 18th, 1942 in Miragione, Haiti. She was the daughter of the late Iclairene Aimable Charlene and Pierre Charlene. At an early age, Heureuse dedicated her life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In later years, Heureuse was joined in Holy Matrimony to Yves Casimir. This union was blessed with five children, Yvon Casimir, Gerda Casimir Alfred, Francisco Casimir, Lauve Casimir, and Yves Edline Casimir. Heureuse also adopted two children Jean Beethoven Merilien and Mary Jacques Destine. Her motherly and Christ-like love filled her home.

Heureuse was a business-owner and an entrepreneur.  She owned a bakery, a boutique, and an agricultural business. Her accomplishments became a platform for her children to achieve greater. Heureuse enjoyed helping others within the church. She was treasurer for Chapelle Evangelique de Lumiere in Haiti, youth advisor, youth mentor for newlyweds. She believed in the biblical definition of marriage and love, she encouraged youth members to be zealous and have an unmatched commitment to their walk with Christ. She enjoyed singing, she later joined the choir at her local church and led worship on multiple occasions. She has even taught hymns, biblical verses, and the true meaning of prayer to her grandchildren. Heureuse was a deacon at Peace Family Worship Center.

Heureuse is survived by her five children, two adopted children, sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a plethora of nieces and nephews. She was a devoted mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her memory lives on through her legacy in her family, her community, and her church.

Service will be held on Friday October 16th at 9:00 AM at the Peace Family Worship Center 307 Guy Lombardo Ave Freeport, NY 11520 and the Entombment Following Funeral Service at the Pinelawn Memorial Park 2030 Wellwood Ave Farmingdale, NY 11735. Pastor Jude Denvois will be officiating, and Pastor Windsor, Pastor Wilbert and Pastor Alfred will assist with all ministerial aspects of the service.
