Erick P. Clermont

Erick Pierre Clermont, 83, of Elmont, New York, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 6, 2025, with his loving wife Josianne by his side. Erick was born on April 22, 1942, in Jérémie, Haiti. He grew up alongside his three older siblings, Gerald, Marie-Claude, and Serge.

In the 1970s, Erick immigrated to New York, where he began his career as a real estate agent. Always driven to learn, he also earned a degree as an architect draftsman. This degree opened opportunities for him to work at a paper mill, and thereafter, he began working for New York state.

On July 14, 1984, Erick and Josianne were married, and their joy was compounded by the arrival of their twins the very next year.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Josianne; his son, Joseph, and his wife, Alexandra; and his daughter, Nancy, and her husband, Armstrong Oliver. Erick was also a cherished grandfather to Matteo, Jettson, Cole, Ella, and a grandchild expected in November 2025.

Erick was a loving husband and devoted father.  Erick worked tirelessly to provide for his family. When he wasn't working, he treasured spending time with loved ones, traveling, and listening to music. He particularly enjoyed his Saturday nights, filled with music and dancing alongside Josianne and Nancy.

Known for his unwavering work ethic and profound generosity, Erick truly possessed a servant's heart. He spent countless hours helping others, offering wise advice, and readily acting as a handyman for friends and family. He took immense pride in working with his son, Joseph, patiently teaching him practical skills and instilling in him the same strong work ethic and compassionate spirit.

Erick was a devout Catholic.  His life stands as a testimony to love, compassion, and closeness to all of his family.  He will be profoundly missed and will remain in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate to have known him.
