Claude Michelle Theophile

Claude Michelle Theophile known to many as “Josee” was born August 23rd, 1961 in Cap-Haitien, Haiti from her mother Floraine Roberts and father Lancelot Theophile, whom she will be joining in paradise. Josee was the youngest out of 7 sisters, Marie G. Theophile, Anna-Marie Nicole Lahens, Marie C. Theophile, Cecile “France” Theophile, Jocelyne Theophile, and Danie Toussaint. Josee came to America in her teen years and attended Erasmus high school with her sister Danie and graduated in 1980. She then went off to attend BMCC and City College and graduated with a degree. In 1985 she had her first daughter, Erica and her second daughter Judith in 1996. Josee worked various different jobs during her lifetime, but the job she spent her last 25 years of working was at Lifespire as a Rehabilitation counselor, where she worked with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She was extremely hardworking and gave her all to provide the best life for her daughters. Despite her busy work schedule she was a very involved mother and gave her absolute all to make sure her children had the best help and education for them to succeed. Josee got married to Joseph K. Ulysse on March 27th, 2001 and was a devoted wife. On top of being an incredible mom, wife, and sister. She was also a great godmother, to her two godchildren Jeffrey Lamarre and Stacey Toussaint, as well as a great aunt to Racquel Lamarre-Louis, Jennifer Cherubin, Jesse Geffrard, Vanessa Theophile, Brianna Theophile, Jaden Lamarre, Daphney Lahens, Thierry Lahens, Rudy lahens, and more.

Lastly, Josee was a phenomenal friend, she was known by many to be extremely selfless, giving, caring, and charismatic. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, vibrant smile and personality. She will also be remembered for her love of music,soccer,photography/modeling and cooking. She was the glue to her family and friends, and loved everyone unconditionally.
