Charles Bordes

Charles Bordes affectionately known as Charlie gained his angel wings on November 17th, 2021. He was born in Ouanaminthe on April 26, 1959 to Marianne Etienne and Julio Bordes. He attended primary school at the Freres de l’instruction Chretienne a Ouanaminthe and completed his secondary education at College Roger Anglade in Port-au-Prince. He later attended the Institut National de Gestion et Des Hautes Etudes International Administration (INAGHEI) and started a career in the banking industry. He later welcomed his children and eventually immigrated to the United States and pursued a career in nursing.  Charlie is preceded in death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his children, his brothers and sisters, cousins, nephews and nieces, grandchildren, great aunt, and many friends.

Charlie’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by him understand that his existence and the imprint he left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that he stayed here. He had a passion for reading and shared his love of books with others. His love of words translated into advice when needed. He enjoyed music.  He was a believer of doing what makes you content.  Most importantly he was a leader through his faith. He was a part of a small religious community, which continuously impacted his life and others.

Charlie loved life and lived fully. He enjoyed the company of family and friends, loved to laugh, dance and his boisterous laugh can be heard miles away. His children were his whole world. There was never a day that went by where he didn't brag about all of his beautiful children and grandchildren. He was compassionate and always willing to help others. Charlie will be greatly missed by many. May his soul rest in eternal peace with our heavenly father.
