Carmen Coriolan Smith, born in Haiti on January 6, 1930, was the beloved daughter of Orelus Coriolan and Roseise Antoine. She was the cherished mother of seven children: Gladys (deceased), Voltaire, Bertha, Suzette, Vania, Francesse, and Oriol. Carmen enjoyed a fulfilling life in Haiti for 80 years alongside her partner, Lherisson Smith. Her unwavering support and encouragement guided her children as they pursued their dreams in the United States. Carmen moved to the U.S. in 2010, where she continued to live a vibrant and loving life until her passing. Known for her faith, kindness, reliability, and generosity, Carmen was deeply loved and respected by all who knew her. She will be remembered as the matriarch of our family, a mother to many, and a beacon of love and strength. Her spirit and the love she shared will continue to inspire and live on in all of us. Carmen will be dearly missed.
