Carline "Kettly" Cardichon Obituary

Carline “Kettly” Cardichon, beloved wife and mother, cherished sister, devoted aunt, faithful friend, and steadfast woman of God, entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 59 years old.

Born in 1967 in Las Cahobas, Haiti, Kettly carried the strength and warmth of her homeland throughout every chapter of her life. Even as a teenager, she naturally stepped into the role of caregiver, helping to raise and care for her younger sisters with a sense of responsibility far beyond her years. That nurturing spirit became one of the defining characteristics of her life, and she continued to care for and encourage those around her wherever she went.

In the early 2000s, Kettly met the love of her life, George, beginning a marriage that would span 19 years. Professionally, she built a career in hospitality in New York, but she also possessed the heart and mind of a creative entrepreneur. Kettly embraced life wholeheartedly. She loved traveling and every opportunity to bring her family together.

Kettly was the definition of elegance, joy, and timeless style. She was a gifted conversationalist who could effortlessly engage anyone she met. Her sharp wit and playful sarcasm filled countless rooms with laughter, and those fortunate enough to be teased by her knew it was one of her many ways of showing affection. She was wise beyond her years and rarely hesitated to share her thoughts, often convinced she was right, and more often than not, she was. Her counsel was sought by many because it was rooted in love, honesty, and a deep trust in God’s wisdom. Beneath her strength was an incredibly tender heart that cared deeply for those around her.

Kettly’s life was not without heartbreak. Though trials brought profound sorrow, they never defined her. Instead, they revealed the depth of her character and her unwavering confidence that God remained faithful through every season. She demonstrated what it means to trust the Lord not only in moments of joy but also through seasons of suffering.

She leaves behind her beloved adopted son, Sebastian (Gaby); her devoted husband, George; her mother, Marie; her stepmother, Cluny; her sisters, Wesline (Liline), Guerda (Nounouche), Margalie (Maggie), Dominique, and Nathalie; her brother, Andy; her treasured nieces and nephews; extended family; and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by her presence.

Though her earthly journey has ended, the love she gave, the wisdom she shared, and the faith she embodied continue to live on in those who knew and loved her. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void, yet her family rejoices in the promise that this goodbye is only temporary. Because of her steadfast faith in Christ, they take comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the presence of her Savior, where there is no more pain, no more suffering, and no more tears.

Beautiful and faithful servant, may your legacy continue to inspire us to love more deeply, laugh more freely, and place God above all else until we meet again. You will forever remain in our hearts. We love you.
