Annlee Moyna Stennett, 75, of Jamaica, NY, passed away on March 7, 2022, as a result of complications from Diabetes. She was born to Hazel and Theresa Payne on November 9, 1946, in Hampstead St Mary, Jamaica, W.I.
Annlee was better known to family and friends as Ann, Sweetie Pie, or just Pie. She immigrated to New York in 1982, seeking a better opportunity for herself and her two sons, Orlando Hayle and Conrad Stennett. As the eldest of seven siblings, she was the matriarch of the family, know for her sharp wit, no-nonsense disposition and generosity when it came to family and friends in need.
She spent the majority of her working career at The Bank Of New York, Mellon, retired in 2016, and spent her retirement days enjoying gardening, traveling, and volunteering at her local community center. She was able to accomplish her aspirations of starting her own small business joint venture N & A Titling Company and purchasing her first home in 1992.
Annlee is survived by her two sons, brothers George and Ottley Payne; sisters Paulette Davis and Lorna Payne; daughter-in-law Kathleen Hayle, granddaughters; Clarisse Hayle, Lauren Hayle, Iris-Joy Hayle, Cieana Stennett, Naomi Stennett, Kasmirra Howard, grandsons; Elijah and Jayden Stennett. She leaves behind close friends, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends in her prayer group, and aunts.
Funeral arrangements are held in Elmont, NY at O’Brien-Sheipe Funeral Home, 640 Elmont Rd, Elmont, NY 11003. The funeral service and viewing will start at 8 am to 11 am on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Followed by the burial at St Charles/Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
