Eileen T. Stapleton

Eileen T. Stapleton, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday December 14, 2018, at Cold Spring Hills Nursing Facility after a long battle with cancer. 

Eileen, an attorney, spent her career representing and advocating for children in need through Nassau County Family Court.  She was a determined and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. When not fighting for safety of children, Eileen was enjoying Broadway shows and fundraising for her favorite charity, Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary; as well as her brothers Michael and Thomas, and her sister Mary.

Eileen is survived by her sister-in-law Jane Stapleton; and her nieces Claire Stapleton (John Byrnes), Fallon Smith (Justin Smith), and Deirdre Stapleton (Andrew Medina).

Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 2pm-4pm, at the O’Brien-Sheipe Funeral Home, located at Elmont Road, Elmont NY 11003. Burial will be private.
