Obituary
Alfena Adassa Brown (nee Goffe) was born on April 9, 1920, in the Parish of Clarendon, Jamaica West Indies. She was the eldest of seven children born to Julia Cato and only child of Eric Goffe.
She resided in Kingston, Jamaica until after her husband, Adolphus Joseph Brown passed away in 1974, and she migrated to the United States in 1980.
Apart from being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, in her own way, she loved to live life to the fullest. She enjoyed cooking, loved dancing, plays, family gatherings, a little gambling and going to church. Alfena was always kind to others and was willing to give a helping hand at all times to anyone who was in need.
Alfena (Mama), departed this life on Friday March 2, 2018. She is survived by her children; Stafford, Lorna, Asley, Eudith, Eric, Jeanette, Audie, and Raymond. She will also be greatly missed by daughters-in-law; Patricia, Geraldine, Sharon, and Audrey; son-in-law; Alexander; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends and acquaintances.
Though she may be gone from sight, she will live forever in our hearts and memories. With sad and heavy hearts, we say “Rest in Peace Mama.” We love and will miss you dearly.
